    Bling-a-licious ( hey Zilla!! )

Did you guys see these new wheels? A friend of mine who went to IB was talking about them. They look cool. Not sure how easy it is going to be to true them up but this thread is not about that. It's all about the bling!

They are highly blingy. I'm just not sure what you gain from having OS aluminum spokes instead of good old-fashioned SS ones. Heaven help you if you strip the threads out in the hub shell.

Oh yeah, did I mention the bling factor was off the charts?

I was thinking the same thing about the threads in the hub. My guess is that you could probably heli coil it. I had the threads for one of the 6 bolts that hold the disc rotor on strip in an XT hub one time and there wasn't much more material around the hole than in that nine hub flange. A local mac-guyver type at my LBS fixed it with a heli. Also they are using a pretty hard alloy (7068) so I don't think it would be easy to strip them in the first place. You are right, they are so bling they make me want to paint my RFX black, paint the lowers of my z150 all black and buy those DH wheels. And I'm not even one of the homers that has UGI!!! Well at least I wasn't until now. HEH heh.

I'm more impressed by the web site graphics than the wheels.

Those look like pullstar hubs from the 90's. In any event, they get a high bling rating.
