    Best use for $300...

I have had a Van R laying around for a while that I thought I might get the PUSH MX tune on, but it seems that won't be available for some time, so I thought about some new brakes, but am still pleased with the performance of the ol' trusty Hayes, and wasn't willing to shell out $450+ for some Formulas or such. Otherwise the Spot is still performing great; it turns out for about 300 bucks you can pick up a Remington 870 12 gauge and 100 cheap shells. Had a great time with 2 friends this weekend shooting some clay pigeons. What would any of you guys do with that 300 smackaroos?

I recently picked up a pair of Saints for $350. The only reason you're still pleased with the performance of the ol' trusty Hayes (mag's i'm guessing) is because you probably haven't tried any new brakes. I thought canti's were great until I tried V's, I thought V's were great until I tried some Hayes, I thought Hayes were great until I tried some Juicy's, etc. New Brakes, FTW.
    nothing witty here...

Ok, good one. Gravity dropper would've been a good choice. Tough to share with 2 friends, though, unless you're REALLY good friends.

2W4S - don't tempt me with the brake issue. I have read enough on mtbr to know I am probably missing the boat - or at least a small part of the boat - when it comes to brakes, but I have not had them fail me yet so I am loath to replace them.

130 dollar shimano XT brakes from ebay and a mossberg 500, that should keep you busy and you kill 2 birds with one stone.

Don't forget drugs and booze. Drugs, booze n' hookers go together like Larry, Curly and Moe.

with a $300 budget, I can't afford a lot of drugs and booze, unless I cut down on the quality of the hookers, and get some skanky ones, without teeth.

At $300 for twins, you are likely scraping the bottom of the barrel already
