Anyone tried 2.25 stroke shock on 6pack?

    Homers,

Has anyone tried 2.25" stroke shock on 6pack. I don't think Fox makes one with the same overall length, but i'm not sure about 5th element, manitou, etc.

Also, is there enough rocker clearnce with the seat tube/quick release?

    Thanks

A 7.5 x 2.25" would not work. The seat stay brace would hit the seat tube. A 7.875 x 2.25" does work, but raises the back of the bike by almost 1".
My video techniques can be found in this thread.

The Creator spoke to me in a vision-he told me NO 2.25 shock on Pack. Craig says he can put a fatter bottom out bumper on the shock and make it work. However, DT says absolutely not. Sometimes I think DT and tscheezy are in kahoots; they're both right most of the time.

Someone please make a rocker that will allow for a 7.875x2.25 shock and keep the stock geometry
    Nothing to see here.

Dunno if that can be done without losing tire clearance etc., but.......this is what that nice new shiny rocker might look like.

and get back to Turner after market stuff, we'd all be OK. Isn't that 5 Spot after market rocker and RP3 upgrade supposed to be out soon.

That's great if you want that much travel and heft - I don't.

6" travel is fine for me but a 2.66:1 compression ratio would be nice.

I think Darren could learn a few things from Apple and Steve Jobs regarding new product releases.

Please don't distrub Darren while he's in the final stages of the DHX kit. We don't want to distract him when he's this close.

But now its gonna start all the "stock stand vs. push stand" or "is the push stand worth the $150" posts. Then eveyone with the push stands will rave about how you can get it custom tuned to the weight it has to support, how the clamp has a wider range of adjustment and more holding power, how the stand is more stable and such. You've just opened up a can of worms...

    Great follow up!

BTW...the stand is just a "prototype". We are optomistic however with the increase in rigidity that our "Factory Standing System" offers!

Well, now we know why Darren hasn't had time to finish of the DHX kits. D., are you one of those guys [like me] who starts lots of projects, but hardly ever finishes them?

Zilla, I'll start making rockers when Darren finishes and releases the DHX kits!

Just last week I watched a TV documentary on how millions of kids have been prescribed ritalin or other behavoiral drugs. They're even getting them from the school infirmaries. Many of the kids fake talking the medication by palming it and pretending to swallow it, they later sell the pills to other kids looking to get a buzz. What a generation we must be twisting with these substances. Not like the old days when it was just a little pot and some Boone's farm apple wine.

A suggestion to speed the DHX mods along

Um... Darren... I'm certainly no expert but I think if you just used the stock boost valve instead of that suicide shifter add on in the pic -- things might be a lot easier. I'll bet its plush though.
