    650B front on old Flux.....discuss!

I have a 2007 Turner flux with some nice components. I also have a Niner hardtail and love the feel of bigger wheels. Thought about selling the Turner for a 650b BUT I have so much into the turner why not just build a 650b front wheel which will fit my Fox Talas Shock?? Has anyone else thought about this?

I did this very thing a bit over a year ago on my Spot. TALAS 140 with Pacenti TL28 rim and 2.3 Neo Moto tire at first. When I wore out the Neo I mounted up a Vee Rubber 2.4 Trail Taker. Prefer the Neo to the TT and will go back to a Neo soon.

Just ordered a new 27.5 Flux and will be migrating the same fork over to it because I had it Pushed a year ago and I really like its performance.

Using the 27.5" wheel and tire raised the BB height on the Spot about and inch. I didn't have any trouble adjusting my riding technique to the higher BB, but YMMV.

Would you say that there's a difference or did you feel like it was a waste of time?

Not a waste of time. I became convinced enough by doing it that I've ordered a new 27.5" Flux and I'm going to migrate all the components from my Spot over to it, including the fork.

Glad to hear there's of couple of you guys out there. I think I will go forward with this instead of taking a loss on selling my flux for a 650B setup.

Put one on my wife's Flux, and she loves it. I'm pretty sure one of the Turner guys did this to his personal Flux, too. Not a big gamble. Build a nice wheel, and my guess is that it will be on the Flux for a few years, then on your next new bike.
