    2012 5.Spot has different rockers?

    Folks,

I just bought a 2012 Fox Float RP23 rear shock to upgrade my 2011 5.Spot, and when I went to install it, the rockers hit the top of the shock..?

It looks like the rockers need to be shaved down a bit to clear the small bump on the shock body.

Does anyone out there have a picture of the 2012 rockers, specifically near the shock?

If anyone from Turner is reading this, I'll call you later, but are the rockers different?

    Thanks.

i think it's the top of the shock that is different iirc- 2012 vs 2011 fox shocks...

do you have your old one to compare?

    Rockers on 2012's are different...

Just an FYI to anyone out there with an older DW spot... if you buy a new Fox RP23 CTD rear shock, you'll need to 'reprofile' the rockers to add some clearance for the top of the shock body.

I used a dremel tool with a sanding drum and removed a little material from the portion of the rocker that contacted the shock body. I removed enough to ensure that there wouldn't be contact even with some debris in there.

Just thought I'd toss this out as a PSA for all to see.
