    2006 5 spot shock?

    Hi

    so I got a 2nd hand 06 spot frame which came with a vanilla shock, I wanted an air and got a used rp2 but I have a couple of questions,
    the van is 200mm eye to eye but I thought they took 190mm eye to eye so which one is correct?{as the rp2 is 190mm}
    and the hardware when fitted to the new shock seems slightly narrow for the rockers but when I search its hardware for a fox shock so should all fox shocks take the same hardware for the same frames?

    thanks peeps

    190mm x 50mm is the correct shock length, & shock mounting hardware is the same for all fox shocks - should be 6mm x 22mm (12.7mm eyelet bushes)

    Previous owner probably didn't understand the importance of proper shock length, effect on geometry and how the bike rides so just whacked on a shock that he got cheap. You've done the right thing.

    felt a lot nicer after putting the new shock on, I wondered why the rear end felt so harsh before
