~ 15' from where rsclimb is coming off in the frame. Riders left was more my comfort zone @ ~ 12'. Rich claims to have gotten 20' from this drop, but is sceery!

Edit: for reference the LZ should be 90 degrees from the tree.

I thinking more absolute edge to right against the wall being around 8', I can definitely see now that it would be more along the lines of what you were saying.....that's coke drop land

Maybe not enough emoticons in my post

The OP of that pic up there ^^^ was claiming than no matter where one were to land, even if you were to clear the fire road and land 10' down the way-off tranny, that that is a 6' drop.

    No matter what.

    He's clearly full of chit.

Sorry, you run into all kinds on these boards (I'm one of 'em) Plus, I haven't seen you around the hood in a while????

Yeah, I looked at that photo a few times and if it is indeed a road gap then it is well over 6'.

Your still welcome to come out there sometime. Rich always brings an xtra bike. There are some great practice lines, and it is totally grass roots...right up your alley,,,know what I mean?

I'm really digin' what you guys are doing up there. Sweet photo's and that feature looks like butta!,,,,but well over 8' . Guess I will just have to head up there and see for myself.

No pics of my 'devil with a blue dress' RFX in action, but rest assured I did the Bandoleros proud.

Here is a short clip from a few of the runs. Check rsclimb towards the end on the drop in question.

I don't know if he has fixed the embed linky yet so try this

Ahh..cool vid. Looks like a fantastic trail. The vid does that drop more justice. It looks like you can't see your LZ til you're in the air. Those scare me.

Not to get into semantics, but DFT's hit enough of that stuff to know what he's talkin' 'bout. Usually, a stepdown or roadgap is measured by distance out and distance down to cleanly hit the tranny. So, the one in the pic isn't that far off really which is probably 15 out and 6-8 down. YMMV.

Same goes for the one below. It's only about 10 out and 8 down. It has an almost endless tranny and you can sail 15-20 feet down, but it'd be silly to call it a 20 footer. If you've ever hit or seen someone hit a 20 foot drop (20 to land it clean), there's a discernible difference. I've ridden with folks that talked about their drop/gap prowess and then see a real 15 footer and suddenly change their tune.

    Cheers,
    EB
