    Trek Stache 130mm - 140mm fork ?

Thinking about upgrading the fork on my 2013 Stache 7. I was thinking about a 2014 Rock shock revelation or Pike. Looks like the pike is only a 140mm. Does anyone have any experience with a longer travel fork on the Stache. Thanks in advance.

Bump, did you find anything out about this or decide on a fork?

Don't forget to consider the axle to crown length as well, some 140mm lengths are very similar to other 120mm forks and it may not affect the hta/bb so much in the end and you gain travel. The g2 offset may be gone, and while some forks are 51mm offset, I can't speak for the revelation or the pike. I know some companies have started to offset all 29er forks 51mm, but it is a detail to keep in mind when and if you do decide to change it up and don't wish to lose the offset. I think if you are concerned with height and travel, I would go with the revelation, as you can always knock the travel down from 140 to 120 or even less if need be, which I doubt based on you wanting more anyway, and I believe the only way to get a 120mm capable damper in a pike is through the specialized s works business in one of the newer evo bikes they have, maybe the camber evo which may make that difficult if the need ever did arise based on a warranty issue or something of that nature.

I just saw this in another thread regarding the pike, it should be available soon in 120mm. I am not sure if that is of any concern, but would allow you to change the travel accordingly for any warranty work etc.

    X-Post - Has anyone reduced a 2014 Pike 29er down to 120mm yet?
