    Trek Slash Sizing Advice

I'm considering getting a Trek Slash 9.8, but I'm right between the 17.5 and 18.5 size wise. I'm just about 5'8" (maybe a tad under), with a 33"ish inseam, and have always ridden a medium from specialized. The 17.5 frame seems to be closer to the size geo i've ridden in the past, but I've also heard the frames may fit just a little small. I was just looking for some real world experience on sizing from people that have one, because even though I work at a shop, they're somewhat hard to find/try.

    Thanks!

    I'm 5.10 and ride a 18.5 Slash with a 40mm stem and 800mm bar, fits perfect. I would recommend 17.5 for you.

This is sorta where I was leaning. I was worried I wouldn't be able to run a short stem on a 17.5, but if you're running a 40mm than that probably wouldn't be an issue.

    I had a 18.5 for a year. hated it. Needed a 19.5

Did you order yet? I'm 5'11 and had a 19.5 for a few months. It was WAY to short. I sold the frame to a teammate who is 5'9" and the 19.5 fits him very well, he started the year on a 18.5 and thought it too short. I also have another teammate who is 5.8" on a 19.5. These frames run really short compared to other treks.

I'm 5'6 and running a 17.5 Slash with a 50mm stem. In my opinion, I can't imagine anyone bigger than me on this size frame....
C'mon lets go for a whirl.

Im 5'10 and feel my 18.5 remedy (carbon if that matters) is a perfect fit. Rode my mates exact same bike in a 19.5 feels a touch too big, however if I went a shorter stem it would prob feel ok (and maybe be better)

    I am riding with 780mm/60mm bars/stem
