Trek Marlin trying to install raceface evolve handbars, needs a new stem

I am currently riding a 2011 trek marlin. I like it so far but found a killer deal on closeout raceface evolve handlebars for $22 bucks new, needless to say I have a new set of bars.

When I when to install them last night I noticed the tube side of the handlebar is a lot bigger then the sten calmp allows. So now I am looking for a stem.

Any suggestions on one to get and what I need?

Handle bars come in three dimensions, 27.?, 31.8 and the new downhill 35.?. The most popular in mountain biking is the 31.8mm. The bars should say right on them what size they are. With the stem you have different sizes as well. You will have the fork diameter size of 1 1/8" or the beefier (downhill) 1.5" (1 1/2). You have the reach (how long) anywhere from 35mm to 120mm. 50mm to 70mm is the new craze but many cross country set ups are longer. If your new bars are wider you may want to go shorter on the stem hence keeping your riding position close to the same. This is a whole other subject. and the final dimension is the bar width. I have for example a 1 1/8-70mm-31.8mm on my bike. Your LBS should be able to help you out or any good online store.
    Hope this helps.

Crap, I forgot, with the stem you also have the rise...anywhere from 0 to 15 degrees. Example my stem is a 1 1/8-70mm-31.8 with 10degree rise. All these numbers are on the stem plus the torque values usually in Nm/In#.
