    Trek Announcement?

Wasn't Trek supposed to announce a new model today?

    Vital MTB:
"The bikes [Remedy and Fuel 29ers] are already available at some North American Trek retailers, but official details won't be released until May 30th. Rumor on the street is that there's an additional model in the works that will be released then as well, and it is NOT a 650B bike. "

    It's May 31 already.

If I'm not wrong, Trek were supposed to have their big announcement yesterday (May 30th) but I didn't see any...

I think the 29er EX is goofy looking. But that's my opinion.

Trek - you really got me disappointed today.

I'v been waiting for a serious announcement and all we got is the Fuel 29 & Remedy 29 spec on the website. Nothing more than that...

Went to local Trek store yesterday. They already have a brand spankin new Fuel Ex 8 29er. It looks nice in person, but I'm a 29er fan.

Trek asks a premium price for bikes in my opinion.

I'll say! I was stoked when I read on a number of sites (including Trek retailer sites like Mellow Johnny's) that the MSRP of the Fuel EX8 29 was supposed to be $2799 and the EX9 $3999...turns out those figures were about $500 low...bummer.

When Trek revealed the Fuel 29er & Remedy 29er they said it's gonna be followed by a press release on May 30. They also said that this press release won't be for a 650B, but for something bigger and more important.

I was really curious and expected this press release, so I was very disappointed to discover that the whole buzz was just for customizing a 9.9 Fuel 29er....

As a Trek fan I find this "announcement" ridicules. I was expecting something else and I'm sure a lot of riders did, too.

Not sure how many of us can afford a 9.9 Fuel 29er, which I belive is not Trek's best seller due to it's expensive price. On the other hand, I also belive that not everyone need or want a 9.9 Fuel 29er...

I'm interested in the Remedy 29er and the Specialized Enduro 29er Comp. Gonna try them both and decide which one fits me best.
