    trek 9700, suggestions?

I picked up an almost new trek 9700 for very cheap and im pretty sure it is bone stock. Now im starting to get into heavy trail riding and am wondering what i should if anything to modify or change this bike, or should i just leave it the same.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

no it is a 9700 its a few years old and they dont make the frame anymore, that is why im wondering if i should make any performance upgrades to it since it is a few years old.

I thought that too but I didn't wanna say anything for fear I might be wrong lol. For all I know it could have been some obscure model from the 80's or something. Yeah though, I think he prob means the 6700.

Post some pics. I'm curious to see what this 9700 looks like. Maybe it's a 6700 built by a worker with dyslexia.

I remember those! I never sold one at the shop I worked at, but I did build a couple. The ones I remember were a quite nice color called "Ice red" that was gorgeous in the sun. All carbon construction, nice bike.

I'd say unless anything is acting funny, leave it the way it is and ride! Also, if you're a beginner/novice, it'd make sense to have someone help you with fit. That will make your saddle time much more fun.
