New question here. Trek 8000 WSD 2010 or 2011

    Hi Guys,

Need help. My LBS has the 2010 in stock and it looks really nice but is actually SG$100 more than the 2011 which they have to order in. I cant decide between the two. Normally I would go for the newer model and I'm kinda ticked at having to pay more for an older bike, but I really like the color of the 2010. Normally that would be an incredibly girly thing to say but its a very non-girly Black and Gold frame.

I can't see much difference between the bikes other than the Forks (although I think they are comparable), the gears (3x10 vs 3x9 Shimano), Brakes (Both Hydrolic), seat and tyres. Am I missing something important? I would wait for 2012 but I'm doing a huge ride in November which I need to prepare for, my bike just died and we probably wont get them here in Singapore until October at the earliest.

Specs of both bikes below. All help appreciated

Personally I would go with the 2011. The Fork and brakes are a pretty big upgrade from the 2010.

Thanks both. Looks like 2011 is the way to go. I will kick myself if the 2012 has awesome parts and paint But I'm sure I'll enjoy the bike regardless! Have a great weekend

You'd kick yourself more knowing you're missing rides NOW if you were waiting on a 2012 model.

    Ride today, and be happy
