Trek 4100 information

I am going to look at a used Trek 4100 and the attached is the spec that they gave me on the bike. I do not know a lot about mountain bikes and will be using this for paved paths and city running around-- probably never off road.

I was a bit concerned about the front fork and the gearing being less than desirable-- from what I am told.

Any comments will be appreciated. Are any of these other components good? Apparently these bikes are more from outside the US. I don't want to buy junk.

It is supposed to be in great condition. Also what is a good price.

Thank you
