RIP Trek Top Fuel 9.9 SSL

Man...I love this bike & will continue to ride/ race it.
I was looking forward to what Trek would offer for 2013 in the TF lineup

Was really hoping for a Top Fuel 29er...oh well, keep dreaming.

Just a recent pic of my now Discontinued Trek Top Fuel 9.9...

It's a truly sad thing to kill the top fuel program. I love mine! I guess I'll be going superfly ht eventually.

    RIP Indeed

I bought one of the last Trek Top Fuel 9.9 bikes they made,
Its a shame to see them go from the line up, I reckon its still a better 26 inch XC dually than most of the bikes on the market right now.

I personally own a Superfly but its nowhere near as fun as the Top Fuel, that bike is just perfection.

I've got a 2010 Top Fuel 9.9 SSL. Was shocked to see Trek replace their flagship race bike with the Superfly, but I guess that is a reaction to the popularity and demand of the 29". My internal conspiracy theorist says Trek may be in the R&D process with a Top Fuel 650b.... which would be awesome. I hope they do, but the Trek rep was quick to tell me that is not on the radar.

I love the Fuel EX, but it just isn't
the same as a Top Fuel.

When the full susser SF first came out I demo'd one back to back with a Top Fuel, the fuelly had way more fun factor. Just felt connected to it where the SF felt more like I was along for the ride. Impressive bike, sad to see them go.
