Replacement 2009 Trek Fuel EX-9 frame

I have a 2009 Trek Fuel EX-9 which I love. Unfortunately I recently collided with an overhead cross beam with the bike on the roof of my car. Nothing terminal, but there is now an unsightly dent on the head tube of the frame. I cannot stand the sight of this and would like to replace the frame. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement frame - needs to be the 2009 EX-9 frame as this model year had the 130mm travel fork and I want to keep the geometry the same. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It 's nice to hear that you like your bike that much. A lot of people would probably just replace it with the latest and greatest

Even though it's not warranty or "crash replacement", you might try to contact Trek HQ and share your story.

I would emphasise on how much you like this bike. They might let you buy a new 2009 front triangle!? Worth a try...

The 2013 Fuel EX also came with a 130mm fork. It's unlikely they'll have any 2009 frames about, might be an alternative.

Also, although the 2010 EX came with a 120mm fork, when I compared the geometry with the 2009, the specs were exactly the same.

Thank you all. I am keeping my eyes open on the trading sites eg eBay. I have also written to Trek. Destred: thanks for the insight on the 2010 frame.

Sooza, i have a spare 2009 EX9 in 17.5 inch, I have been thinking of selling. I agree great geometry, love the higher bottom bracket and the length of this bike! Not sure where you are located, I'm in Lancaster, PA.

Hi hvrbreeze: Thank-you for thinking of me. Unfortunately my requirement is for a 2009 EX9 XL (21") frame. If anyone else reading this has one or knows where I can get one, please let me know.
