    Remedy 8 29 Rear suspension

I want to put a rock shox monarch plus RC3 on my 2014 trek remedy 8 29er. the remedys stock shock is 7.75x2.15 so i am wondering what size monarch i will have to put on it and what will be involved in the conversion.
    Thanks for any help!

Trek has different shock lengths vs the standard ones. As a result of this you have 3 options.

    1. Keep buying shocks from Trek.
    2. Use offset bushings to use a bigger i2i shock without changing the geometry.
    3. But a bigger shock anyway but this will mess with your geometry. Maybe using a little more sag will correct it but it is up to you since many people advice against this option.

In any case before doing anything I would advice you to remove the shock and measure the actual i2i since it may be different than mentioned by Trek. For example I have a Fuel Ex 2013 and the fork is supposed to be 130mm but the actual crown to axle length is similar to the 140 one.

Did you ever find out about putting the monarch on the remedy? I'm looking at doing the same.
