    Rear rack full suspension

I have a Trek Fuel 100 Carbon that I use both for commuting and for trail. I want to put on a seat-tube rear rack for the commuting part and am looking for suggestions. I would like it to be:
    Light weight
    Strong
    Easy to remove
Good fit for my carbon 1.24" seat tube
I've done a lot of searching and found some prospects and opinions, especially the "never put one on a carbon seat tube" and some who say "it'll be fine, just don't put a lot of weight on it". Prior to choosing one I would like to hear from some of you who have one, both good and bad. Manufacturer & model please.

    Thanks,

Thank you for the response. I guess my first observation is that it would seem that with the rack mounted to the triangle on a full suspension that every little bump would be bumping the rack and whatever is on it up and down. With a seat post unit the triangle can beebop up and down all it wants and the seat post would remain relatively level. I guess my main question is will a seat post unit work OK with carbon fiber seat post? That stuff is supposed to be stronger than steel, pound for pound.

Check out the Arkel randoneuring rack.

It mounts to your saddle rails, and uses the post only as a stabilizer.

Any seatpost rack will do, it may scratch up your carbon post a little but all seatpost racks are essentially the same. They don't hold a lot of weight but can be used to carry a change of clothes and some lunch to work. If you are worried about your carbon post buy a cheap aluminum post to go with the rack.
