Question re Trek Top Fuel 98.

I am building up a Trek Top Fuel 98 frame.

I need to know where to find the appropriate seat post collar for this seat post. It's much larger than anything else I have around and don't know the actual size, or if it's an easy to come by size.

Second thing: I see disc brake bolt holes on the rear triangle, but the adapter that I had on my old bike isn't nearly the right size. I'm using 160mm rotors and Avid disc brakes. Does anyone know which adapter I need?

    Thanks!

Have you taken any measurements at all? That might help you out. I'd guess 35mm, but it would just be a shot in the dark. I would imagine your local Trek dealer could certainly get one for you - or any other bike shop for that matter.

Trek was fond of the 22mm disc mounts, they also used the Disc-o-mount from 01-04 which used 3 holes to bolt an adapter on to the frame.

Again, measurements, pictures, details, anything else you could give? Help us out here. We want to help.

After posting this, I googled and found some info. I believe that I need this for the disc brake:

    And this seatpost clamp:

I built up a trek fuel 98 carbon and put mart sl brakes and needed no adapter for the rear brake. The seat collar you can get from trek is design for the carbon frame, cost like $6 they had to order but only a week.

    Enjoy the bike.

    That would be the Disc-O-Mount.
