    XR4 sure

Here's why, according to MBA: Product Test: Bontrager XR4 Team Issue TLR Tires | News | mountain-bike-action

This review is talking about the NEW 2012 XR4.
I bought a 2012 RUMBLEFISH last december and the bike came with stock 29-4, 2.3" wide tires which are the 29" identical version of the 26" XR4.

Before I got my RF, I planned to replace them with Maxxis Ardent (2.40"F/2.25"R) but when I finally got my bike, my LBS advised me to give the 29-4 a try and explained that these are completely new 29-4 and they're totally different from the old 29-4.

I'm so glad I took the advise cause these are really great fantastic tires. I used them on a 35 mile desert ride that was partly tethnical (uphills, turns and lots of downhill too) and I just couldn't its Bontrager. I'm riding the bike on different terrain (dry) and thse tires never let me down.

Buy the NEW XR4 tires and iguess you won't be needing anything else.

Just had Trek install the new 12 XR4 team issue trl 2.35's on my ex9.
I really wanted tubeless but they were going to charge me $25 per wheel for installation plus the cost to convert.
