I have about $4,000 invested in this 2012 Rumblefish Elite. 34mm chassis CTD 140mm Talus fork, dropper post, flat carbon bar, 2.4 Purgatory front tire, 2.2 Captain rear (just bought a Ground Control to try), Ergon grips,

I got my Trek 4300 about 11 years ago. Road it on trails, 75 mile road rides, back and forth to school, etc.
I usually love new gear but I've keep this thing as is for a LONG TIME. I finally decided last year it was time to
start putting some money back into the bike to make sure it can stay with me even longer. I first put on new grips and this week I
put on new pedals, tires and tubes, brakes and a second bottle cage. Here are the before and afters. I also gave it a new wipe down.

    AFTER

    upgrades:
    bontrager grips
    shimano spd pedals
    new breaks
"road and trail" tires and tubes
    bottle cage

    Soon:
    new cables
    new seat
    crank set hopefully

New, old stock 2011 Sawyer after being cleaned after my first ever single track ride this weekend. Had a blast.

Will be using it as a 1x9 and SS in the coming days after I ditch the front derailleur and granny gear.

[QUOTE=SpeedStarr;10154399]Here is my 2012 EX8 with my upgrades.

[Shift levers]: XT 780, I-Spec mount

Hows is the I-spec set up working for you? I'm thinking of going with them on my Remedy to clean things up.

2012 Marlin. Built from the frame up with XT 2x10. Love this bike. The 1st pic is in bikepacking mode before a trip a few weeks ago. 2nd pic is riding up to a local pier to watch a sunset with the wife.

This was a project awhile ago. 94 Trek 830 - Stripped down and redone as a commuter/tourer. Full Deore group with 48 rings in the big ring gives it a good range. Quite comfortable and ride it to work a few times a month. Padding at the bottom of the seatpost is for connecting my sons trail-a-bike.

    The new '13 Fuel EX!

Just got my new bike today after cracking my old diamondback frame last year. Been snowing here in Milwaukee, WI for the past 48 hours so it will be a few weeks before she hits the trails! Stoked!

    2012 Mamba

I bought this last year due to my friends and co-workers hyping up their 29ers and constantly trying to convince me to buy one..So I sold my '09 Fuel EX 7 and got this 2012 Mamba...to this day i consider it the worst decision I have made in my lifetime..but i didnt get to ride it much last year and am gonna give it one more season after the snow melts off...

I'm new here so I can't make a new thread. Just need some advice.
I currently have a Forge Sawback 5xx that I never rode off the pavement much until last year. I got hooked last year riding some fairly rough singletrack, and I would like to upgrade and get a 29er. I found a 2012 Superfly AL in great shape with 150 miles on it for sale locally. He is asking $1150 for it. Just looking for some input as to whether this would be a good buy or if there is anything I should know about this model.

    Thanks

Not seeing a lot of love for the Remedy's. Mines pretty much stock 9.8 but I'm sure there are some trick ones out there.
