Completely rebuilded 2013 Trek Superfly 100 got dirty after an excellent day of riding in Houffalize, Belgium.

My new old Trek Superfly 8 2014. Purchased only the frame, new Reba 2016 arriving in 2-3 days and then I will have to chase for a set of wheels suitable for my 270lbs body
    Full Shimano XT 2013-2014 groupset.

I will be back with pictures once the bike is fully built

It's really fun on the donwhill side, probably due to combination of bike a bit lower (1cm) and low pressure in large tire, I could feel the addition of grip !

It would worth trying that with better quality wheels (wider + lighter),as with my setting (for testing purpose only) I used entry level wheels, heavier compared to my usual combo : I could feel the weight penalty mainly climbing on the road, on the track it was ok (even easyer with added traction).

Here's mine. Got the frame and moved parts from a Superfly 8 which explains the blue fork decal. Picked it up yesterday but we are on day 3 of steady rain so no ride yet.

My '97 Y22. When I got it, the front fork was collapsed and the rear shock was a no-name spring. First time out since fork/shock replacement, come to realize that the tires may be the originals. Going to replace those now.

    I now hate you.

I still loved my Y bike. Still have the frame, but I want another. I had a 96 Y33 (the Judy Yellow).

Picked up my 2015 Marlin about a month ago. So far have put close to 300 miles of road and trail on it. Added some racelite locking grips, 2.3 WTB Vigilantes, and deleted the front derailleur and high/low cogs. I'm coming from riding Walmart bikes, so this thing has been so much more fun...and tough!

How do you like the Vigilantes? Have you noticed a difference between the stock tires?

I like them. They roll over/through everything I have thrown at em and I find confidence in turns and braking has improved from the stocks. It's a tight squeeze in the rear at the bottom part of the frame due to the large knobs, but no rubbing yet. I run 25psi on the trails and they grip like crazy

Here's a more recent pic showing the tread a little better. I will mention, I'm trying to build the bike to be able to go almost on any terrain...not fast, not a trickster...just a fun bike to romp in the woods or the backroads.

Nice, what is the setup on the front ring? 32t-34t etc.
Also did you put a medium or long rear derailleur?

Front ring is 32t (ended up with SRAM GX bb, cranks, and chain ring)

The rear derailleur is medium cage. (GS)

Now that's a color combination we don't see often
I got the same double shock control on my SF FS but changed it to the left. Dropper remote on the right leaves more space for the gear lever. Also having the shock remote left balances the amount of finger actions a bit more. My right hand had to do that much work, it got injured on it, like RSI...

That's the beauty and fun of a Project 1 bike - unique colors. I'm calling it "The Great Pumpkin" (grew up loving Peanuts). I have a P1 Purple Metallic/White logo Madone that get's SOOOOO many comments on the color. I've yet to see a color combo on a P1 that I didn't think looked really nice.

My LBS set the bike up - the owner is a good friend and will switch things around as requested - but I think I'll try this for a while, since I know he spent a LOT of time playing around and getting the cable routing "just right" (like the rear shock that he took apart to get the cable to come in from the bottom instead of the top as Trek intended).
