    Nice bikes in here.

    My Treks:

2016 Top Fuel 8, 2016 Crockett (currently trying to get rid of this one), 1994 Trek 930 (my second "real" MTB), 1995 Trek 8700 (busted downtube). Not pictured: wife's Madone 5.2. These share the garage with a couple of Lynskeys and a Stumpjumper, as well as a retired Litespeed Pisgah.

    My 2014 Trek Remedy 9 29er

Here's a few of my 2014 Remedy 9 29er Size XL. I love this bike, it does everything very well!
    - Easton Haven Carbon Wheels (tubeless)
    - Easton Havoc Carbon Bar
    - Bontrager Montrose Carbon Saddle
    - RockShox Reverb 150mm
    - Xpedo Spry Magnesium Pedals
    - 30t, 1x10 with 40t rear

28.84 pounds, not bad for an XL!

New bike for me, bought this from a buddy 2016 Trek Top Fuel 8.
My plan is to repalce the slippery Bonty tires to Maxxis Ikons with ghetto Stans. Run 1x11 and add ti hardware to lighten it up a bit.
    Thanks.

My first Trek is my Superfly, had this for a little over a year and a good 3,000 miles on it and I somehow have not broke it yet. Its a very stiff bike, fast and light out of the box and has been up and down the hardest trails in Utah and Arizona just fine! I wanted to get a Stache and came close but opted for the Kona Unit with 27.5 plus. I will keep this thing til it dies and then replace it! Flows and Zee brakes are only upgrades it needed.

    Hi Scribble79,

I don't know what most of the stuff stamped on the BB is, but I can identify one line.

The WTU23900T is a Danish VIN.

    W = Import into Denmark
    TU = Trek
T (at the end) = 2001 year of manufacture.

With this information you may be able to figure out some more.

Paid $1050 for the bike a month ago, changed tires, crank ring, added a bottle cage, did my first XC race. Best $1200 I spent in a long time.

It doesn't have to be Danish, used to work at a Trek dealer in The Netherlands and all Trek frame numbers started with WTU as well.

    Photos of your TREK'S

Needed to clean the EX 9 after riding today so also pulled out the 8900 SL to give her a bath as well.

Still trying to decide what to do with her since she's now retired but nonetheless she still deserves to be pampered. Wish she was another inch larger at 19.5 so I could keep her in the dirt. At 22 lbs, made climbing a piece of cake.

I love the old Treks. If I was you, I'd put pedals on it and go ride it. I have been 'collecting' old bikes back into my bike corral. Even though I have a Remedy 9.9, Ex9.9, and Stache 9 I rotate through, Ive been also riding my newest old bikes: an early 2000's 6500 and a 93 930. Both are fun and both are a completely different ride experience!

Since you have a tubeless wheel and Ikons are tubeless tires, what's "ghetto" about it?

Nice Sawyer, would love to find one in solid condition one day. As for mine, I would do that but it no longer fits which prompted the Fuel purchase. Had it still fit, I'd saved our money and just ridden it! This it'll eventually end up sold and the funds "reinvested" into tools for the new ride.

Yes!! I love my Sawyer...so glad I bought it when they first came out. Quirky bike but that's what I love about it. In the end, every one of my bikes has it's own character....making it fun to switch around!

Agreed those have awesome character. The wife alluded that once the debt is gone we'll have freedom to further explore addition Rides, at which time I guess I'll have to focus on a Farley or Stache for my rigid needs.

lol @ this bike, it's 26.4lb now and I still have less than $2k in it:

XT brakes, X1 shifting, Kovee wheels, and it still has an 800lb crank so I could get this bike close to 25lb even with a $$$ crank, but that will never happen.

Just bought my first full suspension mountain bike and super excited!
2010 trek remedy 8 with an interesting build (nice frame/suspension with entry level components)
Fork is getting rebuild for when the snow melts

Here's my Rumblefish. It's getting a little long in the tooth, but so am I. Was really hoping it would be a picture of a Fuel Ex 8 this year but Uncle Sam took all my bike money, so the fish it shall be for at least the rest of this season. I did toss the Elixer's in favor of some Shimano Deore brakes this spring and the stock rear wheel gave out so I had to replace it also. Other than that, nearly 8,000 mile later - it's still going strong. Here's a pic from last weekend of Auger Falls on the Snake River.
    I wanna ride!

    My Sleek Black Beauty - 2014 Fuel EX 8 / 26er

Here's my 2014 Fuel EX 8, the last of the 26ers. I love this bike on all but the chunkiest of trails.

    Upgrades so far:
Fox 36 RC2 (I twisted the stock fork while trying to find the upper limit at the park. I also earned 3 months off the bike. I won't be trying that again )
    Tires - Maxxis Minion DHF (F) and XR4 (R)
Fox Transfer Performance Dropper (100mm drop was the max to fit my frame)
    Shimano DX pedals

I briefly tried 1x10 when I first got the bike, but it didn't have the range that I needed for the steeper climbs. I plan to give it another go once the 11-42 shimano 10 speed cassettes come out.

BTW, I must credit Tom Magliozzi of Car Talk fame (or should I say notoriety?) for inspiring the name of my ride. Also, I keep meaning to get a good pic of her in her natural environment, but I end up having too much fun riding and forgetting to snap a shot.

My 180/190mm carbon session park, currently sits a little over 30lbs with dropper due to ELS technology (expensive lightweight shit). Climbed it around 3k of vert yesterday, super fun on the downhills. 150mm dropper is in the low setting in the picture and saddle angle points a little down due to the amount of rear sag when seated which levels It out haha. It loses the dropper and gets a dual crown fork for DH season when the lifts open.
