    1995 Trek 830

Trek 830 Mountain Track bike from Craigslist for $30; the criteria was a cross-country-style, small steel frame--this one is 14.5 inches--and this Trek fit the bill. Besides the frame, the only thing I used was the seatpost binder. The fork is a 1" modified Kona P2. After the front and rear brake bracket fabrication--all TIG welded--I had the frame sandblasted, then followed up with primer and BASF paint. Features SRAM and FSA drivetrain, Avid disc brakes and Mavic wheels.

My newest ride is a new 2010 Remedy 9.9. Here it is after getting cleaned up post ride Still have a set of Iodine 3 wheels (burnt orange/black) waiting to be shipped and put on to complete it. I went up to 21.5 from 19.5 on my Fuel EX 9.7 and MAN, I don't know why I've been riding 19.5 since 1995! Here is the current collection in the garage; The '11 Fuel EX 9.7 and the '05 6500 are for sale, by the way

Here is my trek. I'm new to mountain biking so it doesn't look as cool as the other bikes here, but it gets the job done!

They are CST (Cheng Shin Tire) Streamliners. I got them off ebay.
Theyre basically a wide street/cruiser tire.

Dunno, I liked the tan pinstripe on the sidewalls....

Howdy. I just got a new bike and joined this forum. There's a ton of good info here. Thanks. This is my new Trek 4300. I mostly ride dirt and gravel roads and some light trail riding. So far, I am very pleased with the bike.

Here's a picture of my new steed. I've had it for just under a week and I'm loving it. Still trying to get the suspension dialed in just right but the thing rides nice.

I feel like I'm cheating a lot of the time. Coming from a hardtail where I had to watch my lines I know just plow up and over.

Love seeing the RF pics. I've had mine for 5 months now and I've put it through some serious grinding. I am amazed every day how well it's holding up. Back in my old biking days, it seems my bikes would literally fall apart on me within a year. First to go would be the smooth gear shifting, then the hubs would get woobly, followed by wheel/rim issues, and eventually frame cracks, and the list goes on. I love the new FS bike technology and engineering. Built tough.
