    New Trek owner here

    It's a 2006 Trek 6500 Disc.

    Congrats on the beautiful bike! I saw this at the shop when I bought my bike (4500) but it was out of my price range. Trek makes great bikes and I'm sure you'll enjoy this many years to come.

    Enjoy man. I went with the 6700 and I love it. These things can take a lot of abuse on the trails, and are fun as hell to ride. Good luck with her.

    started riding about 3 years ago on a used 6700 - it is still going strong (though this year i wussed out and bought a full squish trek)

    congrats - that bike should last you as long as you want it too

    Nice bike.

    Please sort that disc cable out. It should be flat against your top tube. Very messy.

    I noticed that too. I am doing some search on how to detach the cable so I can unwind it. Anyways, thanks for your reminder.
