    New Help Identifying this specimen!!!!

Purchasing a used bike for my girlfriend and only have a pic and limited details, as the person selling it has no clue since it was a gift. Need model and possible year to estimate price.

That is not a TREK....that is a POS Wallyworld bike painted and stickered to look like a Trek.

    Look elsewhere.
I crashed hard enough on my Tallboy to break my leg,
The carbon is way more durable than most people.

I really don't know. It looks like there's text on the chainstay that might tell you, but I can't see it clearly in this pic.

Since I clicked and read, though, I have to say, if you mean for this bike to be your GF's introduction to mountain biking, please don't buy it.

If she's a collector of vintage FS bikes, then by all means, go ahead.

x3 not a Trek and I think the OP knows it. The description reads like it was copied and pasted from a website.

It is a death trap! Do not ride this bike unless you are fully insured or hates your girlfriend.
