    Need advice on...

I am swapping out my crap Suntour fork for a Rockshox Dart 3. I know, not a huge upgrade but still worth it for $70 new.

I am having trouble getting the fork to sit tightly in the new head tube. No matter what I do it still comes out not quite tight. I am thinking I should just get a new headset / bearings... the whole kit. What is in there is likely pretty weak anyway.

I can't seem to sort out what I need. Any one else gone through this same process? Any suggestions?

Did you pull the race off your old fork and install it on the crown of your new fork?

Yes, I did. I just found the problem The star nut in the new fork was sliding. I got a new nut for $3 and that fixed it. Thanks!
