    Mystery Klein Adept Comp/Pro?

    Greetings.
I signed up to this forum because you guys rock. Have learned a lot re equipment and maintenance from many postings. Currently I ride a Cannondale F700 - thought about going full suspension. There are a couple of Kleins (supposedly) on the market that do not match any other pictures. Would one of you specialists look at the below picture of a supposed Klein Adept Comp/Pro and confirm what it is? Many thanks indeed - if you keep posting I'll sure keep reading.

If you click through this link - the picture is the first one on this Thai MTB forum!

Yes, thats a Klein Adept in a size small.

The small versions didn't have the cross brace front frame design of the other sizes because of the smaller front frame dimensions, I've had two in this size and think they look much nicer, its just a pity they put on a stupidly small 90mm headtube as opposed to the 105mm on the similarly sized attitude.

    This was my second.........

Thank you both very much indeed. So, it's a small Klein Adept Pro, with different frame configuration. This is why it did not show up in websearches, or in the product review section of mtbr.com. Are there any problems/issues one should know about regarding this model? Skleins, I cannot believe you had two of them.

Only problem I had was the short headtube at 90mm, I'm 168cm tall so maybe I should have had a medium instead. Also 80mm of travel is not much by todays standards and you can get a frame that is just as light with 100-120mm travel. Although if you like a particular frame/bike - what the heck...buy it and sod what anyone else thinks, after all its your bike.

Yeah I had two......after two Attitudes......I also got through two Mantras and a Palomino although not all at once

After these I had a Maverick ML7.5 and now ride an 08 Stumpjumper FSR - better than all of them in my opinion although I personally did like the Mantra's

I hope Klein come back with something new someday- I'll then probably be coming back for another look

    Wink The answer.

I currently own a 2000 Adept Comp and they only come in what is called the "Jamaican Burst" in other words yellow fading to orange. The item in question is the Adept Pro and if you zoom in on the pic you will see what I am writing about ( Located about 4 inches behind the steer tube).
