Just put my Fuel EX 7 on layaway until tax time!

    Hey guys,

I'm a long time lurker and first time poster. I finally decided to take the plunge into my first >$2000 bike. I had a 2005 Hard Rock, a 2009 Monocog and a Salsa El Mariachi that I rarely rode and decided to sell for my first full suspension bike.

I test rode a Specialized Camber Comp, a Kona Hei Hei and the Fuel Ex 7. I don't know what it was about the other two, but the way the Trek felt made the others feel almost like Wal Mart bikes. The Specialized was properly adjusted for my weight and i could barely lift the front end up a curb because the rear suspension would compress so much.

Anyways I loved the ride of the Trek and decided to go a little more into debt to put it on hold until my taxes come to pay it off!

Heres a terrible pic of it at the bike shop before it got put up.

I'll second that - you are going to love it. Congratulations. I still recall my first full suspension bike (a Fuel EX8 about five years ago) and the joy it brought. Five years later, I seriously looked at the EX7 and EX8 29ers; I really liked the colour of the 7 but decided to go with the 8.

Too much snow on the ground here so it's sitting in the basement. Can't wait to get out on it when spring comes.

    Enjoy the new bike!
