Help: 2011 Trek 4300 headset needs replacing

My stock 2011 Trek 4300's headset is about to fail. I need to replace it ASAP.

That said, what headset would you recommend? I'm looking into FSA. IIRC, my stock headset isn't sealed bearing and I need one that's sealed bearing.

Please provide model/series of headset. I'm confused as it is.

    Tnx guys.

Sounds like you need to find a good shop to work with. Headsets can be very tricky. For you though its a bit easier. You have a standard 1 1/8" threadless system. External cups. I wouldnt go nuts on a high end headset for a 4300 but your on the right track with a sealed unit. A good shop should be able to set you up for about $50 bucks or so then about 20-30 labor to install it. And yes you want a shop to install it. There are a couple of special tools that make the job much easier and wont damage anything
