Happy new 2013 Trek Cobia owner

I finally pulled the trigger on a new Trek Cobia. I was looking at the Mamaba and noticed for a couple hundred more it seems to have better parts. What do I know I'm a newbie in this but hey it rides really nice. I can't feel my ass right now because the seat beat the crap out of today going through some trails. I'm sure there are better ones out there. Can anyone reccomended a good seat upgrade? And any other good upgrades that might make a difference without breaking the bank

I also purchased the 2013 cobia. All I can say is donít worry about the seat youíll get used to it. The only thing I would upgrade are the pedals, I bought the Shimano M424, they are a clip less/platform pedal. I went this route because I wanted to just be able to hop on the bike with my street shoes and tool around town. Enjoy your bike man donít get bit by the upgrade bug just yet wait until your parts wear out or break. If you really want to spend more money on your bike buy a tool kit and tubes and a way to carry them, and maybe a water bottle and cage. Happy riding

I was also looking at upgrades for the 13 cobia. I think the shifters could be on the list. I was also looking at pedals ans will check out the e Shimano M424.

    Thanks

I ride a 2012 Mamba and picked up a Serfas RX saddle which has made a big difference for $50. Highly recommend this if you want to change seats. I threw on pedals and lock on grips and now I'm just riding - enjoy!

Congrats on the Cobia. I own a 2012 version since 08/12 and it's been great. Just now breaking down and buying tires, Maxxis Ardent EXO . Everything else is stock .

I love my '13 Cobia (couldn't you tell?) Brakes could be much much better, but are sufficient. Have fun, and don't jump it. I haven't tried, but if you don't break your bike, your butt will ache for days afterwards.
