Fuel 98 Rear Shock Spacer Width

I'm about to order a Cane Creek Cloud 9 shock for my 2004 Trek Fuel 98 Carbon. However Cane Creek is saying that they only manufacture a 22.1mm x 6mm spacing.

Trek is saying that the spacing is 22.2mm x 6mm.

Will this will fit my frame even though the spacing is 0.1mm less than the 22.2mm number from Trek.

I think you refere to both spacing in each shock "eye".
If that is your problem, you can use a 0,1 mm washer.
Don’t use 22.1x6, because you’ll “bend” the suspension lever, making main bearing sustain greater stress (constant moment – because of lever bending)

Hope you can find help in these lines.
