just purchased a new xtr front mech for my fuel 90. the cable sticks out at quite an angle perpendicular to the frame and when i go over a bump, the rocker link contacts the cable, making a disturbing noise and moving the cable out of the groove on the seat tube inside the rocker link. it clicks back later. i'm also concerned the cable is slowly cutting through the rocker.
is this due to the top/bottom pull design of the derailleur? its a new frame to me, my last bike had a top swing derailleur and the cable was more or less parallel to the seat tube. its about a 40 deg angle on this one. can anyone post a pic of theirs?
