Flesh wound or problem?

Went over the handle bars on my '08 Fuel EX 8 going through a boulder field. Fortunately the bike took more damage than I did. There's a pretty good gouge in the frame on the weld joint between the top tube and head tube. I have attached a few photos (not great ones). Looks like it's mostly paint damage, but I do see a few small gouges in exposed metal. There are no cracks that I can see.

Flesh wound or problem? Anything I should do about it?

if its not cracked its fine, just cosmetic
i usually paint clear nail polish over paint chips/scratches to seal them up, it also makes them less noticeable.
