I am attempting to remove the fox rear shock from my frame for the first time to service.
The top 2 bolts have been removed from the EVO swingarm and the shock is free of the swingarm. However the bottom single bolt that holds the stanchion end of the shock to the full floater extension of the chainstay has been removed but I cannot seem to pull the shock out. Should this pull out or is there another step involved to free the shock?
Should I tap it lightly with a soft hammer?
BTW, my frame is a 2012 Trek Fuel Ex. Top of the can is bolted to the swingarm and the stanchion end is wedged between the floating extension of the chainstay (full floater).
Thanks for your assistance
