    Built up a 2005 Liquid 65!

I've ridden a K2 Lithium 4.0 for about 3 years now and decided I wanted something better. I found a 2005 Liquid 65 frame in almost mint condition that I couldn't pass up. I purchased or swapped out the following items and put in on my frame:

Fork: Rock Shox Tora 318 Solo Air
    Shock: Manitou 3-way Swinger (SPV)
    Shifters: XT
    Derailleurs: XT
    Crank: Raceface Evolve DH
    Brakes: BB7
    Rotors: 185mm Avid G2
Wheels: WTB with no-name hubs (took them off a Forge Sawback 5xx. I know I need to
    upgrade soon.)
    Tires: 2.4 Ritchey Motovader

The bike weighs a whopping 37lb but actually climbs better than my 32lb K2. On downhills, I feel way more confident. I assume it's because of better geometry. I tried doing a search on Liquids but haven't found much info. I know it's older technology but I love how this tank handles. That and the fact that the bike cost around 3k when it first came out. Just thought I'd share my new setup!

    37 lbs?? wow!

My old '03 liquid 20 was about 32 lbs, & it was enough of a tank. Luckily it cracked & trek hooked me up with a warranty replacement.

I have an '03 Liquid 30. I love the thing to death. I've ridden it back to back with much newer comparable bikes and my '03 gives up nothing to these bikes. Ride yours until your eyes bulge!

I haven't been able to take pics yet but soon. It's a little on the heavy side but then again I weigh 220lb. It's a fun bike to ride DH and on twisty singletrack. Climbs better than my old K2 as well.

I know it's been a while but just for "search" purposes, here are some pics that I took today of my bike. Since my original post, I have upgraded my wheels, stem, grips and bar. I hit the trails almost every weekend and my Liquid has yet to dissapoint!
