    bontrager duster 26 wheelset

I just picked up my Fuel ex 8 26er. nice frame and components just a bit thick. Anyone have the spec on the 2014 duster wheelset? Trek is pretty tight lipped on this.

Nice, I'm getting the same bike in a week or two. I've heard that the wheelset is solid but nothing fancy. I will probably upgrade the rear wheel after a year or so.

    Have you posted any pics?

They (Dusters) are 28 hole rims and usually use 15g spokes, so that part isn't terribly portly. The most weight is likely in the hubs, and sadly, when you spend $2,500 to $3,000 on a full suspension bike in 2014, you still usually get either low level Shimano or rebranded generic type hubs.

Dusters convert to tubeless quite easily with the Bontrager kit, and it's a worthwhile expenditure IMHO.

Just keep an eye on the spoke tension for a while, and you should be fine.

I have a 2013 Bontrager Duster wheelset that I just weighed. The set is coming in at 1834 grams which surprised me that they were that light. This wheelset comes with the Bontrager hubs so it sounds like the 2014 wheelset is similar or the same as the 2013 wheelset that I have.
