    Bontrager drop line shorten cable?

My new Fuel has quite a lot of excess cable. I have not looked at it properly yet but is it easy to shorten?

The review here says itís easy enough?

Anyone done it? Is it easy for someone not very experienced with maintenance!

    Bontrager drop line shorten cable?

Shouldnít be hard. The cable head is on the end thatís connected to the bottom of your post. The cable is then ran through the frame and into your remote, which most of the time secures the end of your cable by a pinch or anchor bolt. You can simply release the cable from the remote and trim it to your desired length.
Be careful, though, as having that excess dropper cable allows you to service the post by taking it out of the frame.

Too short of a cable could mean youíd have to disconnect the remote every time you had to remove the post.

You can take the remote off the bar as it has a pivoting type clamp. This will give you more than enough length to pull the post clear of the seat tube.
    Do the math.

So is it best to trim from remote or bottom of dropper?

Look at my response to your same post in the '18 Fuel EX thread.
    Do the math.
