    04 fuel 90 w/disc

Looking to buy an 04 fuel 90 with discs, xt/lx, hayes hydraulic hmx-9 brakes, and a duke xc 100mm and fox float r. Anybody have input on this? Good/bad? Any changes I should plan on making/adding?

That's a fine bike. Is it an 04 leftover....meaning you're getting a great deal on it?

There are always things you can change, but it's a fine bike as it is. Initially, you may want to check out the saddle and pedals. You may already have a personal preference.

    Sorry for the late reply.

I have an 04 90 disc. Are you sure on the fork? Mine came with an 80mm.

My biggest complaint is the Hayes brakes. They need constant adjustments, and they almost always rub at higher speeds (17MPH+). Also zip ties are needed on the top tube for the brake line, something I found annoying after spending that much money.

All in all though, I love my Fuel. It's a bit firm, and a little heavy, but is fast and responsive. If I had it to do over, I would not spend the extra $400 for the Hayes, but other than that no regrets.
