2008 Vagrant with domain 318, love this bike! Havent seen too many on here lately, lots of transams tho. Lets see some Vagrant love! I recently picked up a surly instigator frame as well, seems I have a thing for discontinued models...

I picked mine up for 250 last year.

Set it up at 33lbs for XC and 40lb's for DH

    it can really do anything

    Domain fork is also badass

Thats nice, good deal. Mine is about 36 lbs or so, use it for everything; only felt out of its element a little on hardcore downhilling and real technical short steep climbs. Even compared to my full rigid instigator with the extra 10 lbs I can still bunnyhop the vagrant about twice as high, the geometry is great

Yeah as long as you can trust the wheels and tires to hold up i have no problem slamming it into rocks. I'd get a suspension seatpost if i could find a size that fits. My wrists and my back get more of a beating than my legs.

    Nice!

I'm also still rockin' a Vagrant. Awesome bike - a true 'do it all' bike for sure.

    Here goes mine.

Love the chain-seat stays! How much travel is the Vagrant frame built around? Looks like people were running everything thing from 100mm-160mm forks from the pics I've seen. TBC should do a revised vers. even if it's just for a lim. # of frames one of these years... Very cool lookin' hardtail!

The Vagrant is designed around a 160mm front. I would not hold your breath for a new one...

67 degree HA and 70 degree seat tube.

According to the PDF file on the Transition website, it's designed around a 518mm A2C (think Pike). A Fox 36 160mm has an A2C of 545mm. I liked my Vagrant better at 120mm but I used it for jumping.

    '06 Vagrant

I built this one back in '06 and still love riding it.

I ordered some parts for my new BR frame that arenít going to work as planned. So, instead of returning them I'm going to upgrade the Vagrant.

I miss my Vagrant. I crack the frame after 2 seasons and Transition was cool enough to hook me up with a TransAM for a good deal. Great bike.
