Transition guys...why the complete lineup change and suspension redesign

I generally like to change frames often and ride a covert 29 now. What are the thoughts for only have a 111mm rear travel 29er in 2015?

I would consider stepping down to one of the 27.5 models to get slightly higher travel, but honestly the 29er geo from you guys feels so dialed now that it would be hard to do that.

Is the 111mm rear travel 29er really going to be handle tech travel and slightly bigger hits?

Thanks for the question, trailbrain. I'm sure some others are wondering the same. The information that's out there so far wasn't intended for the forums, but it's out there now so speculate away!

We will be releasing a proper press release in the near future that should answer your questions and provide a deeper overview of the lineup. Hang tight!

That smuggler is sexy. More details please. 111mm travel? I wonder what the thinking was on that. Maybe to keep a mix of good pedaling and descending on the Giddy up link?

Loving the looks of the smuggler - that kind of bike is right up my alley and the price is right for the frame. Plus, the transition guys seem like a good time. Any god details yet - I am 6 foot 5!!!

115mm travel, probably has more to do with the short stays limiting the amount of travel, and no front der

Smuggler looks awesome and has been added to my short list (pending details & geometry of course).

Because Specialized's Horst Link patent expired!

    Still a nice line up.
