    I will say, Redhit's does look P.I.M.P.

I was really indecisive on the green vs black, but I'll be riding with SlayerRulz and he has a green one already.... Thought aboot raw aluminum too....

yeah theres no questioning that Redhits is the nuts...i just like the idea of having a (somewhat i guess...knowing how many bottlerockets are out there nowadays) unique ride.
    hence the totem on mine

again...nothing against the actual color...i just see a lot of them. ive seen a few in person and so far none of the pics of the green ones have done the things justice. they look so much nicer in person.

I went with the green because

    1. I already have one all black bike, and I wanted to mix it up a little.
    2. The only other BR in my area is a raw (as far as I know), so it's unique, at least for here.

I'm going up to the shop and picking it up this evening.

If its tight, Fox makes steel adapters (the stock ones are aluminum). Call up transition and they can get you some and i think that'll fix your problem

The bushings on some of the Fox shocks were a bit off spec, and a little too large inner diameter. Some DHX Coils and Airs both experienced this...

Got the frame yesterday. Just finished (sort of) building 'er up. Still waiting on the shock, obviously, and I need to go pick up some headset spacers. Other than that, I'm ready to roll. I need to shorten the rear hose, but that can wait. DHX coil will be here Friday.

OK, now for the good stuff:

    Fyi

165#'s with gear here. Running a 350# spring on POS swinger 4-way. I haven't checked the sag since the 2008 DHX coil will be in next week, but may need to go up to 400#.

Unless I've been fed a complete line of BS, the '08's are shipping now. Yes, it's a new model internally. http://www.bikemag.com/features/onli...ew/index1.html

Basically get's an updated Pro-pedal range.

    I heard late June.

Anyway, I got a DHX today from dogonfr. I'll run it until the Roco shows up.

I weigh 145#, and have a 400# spring, per Kevin's recomendation. I've only got one ride on it so far, and have been too lazy/ busy riding to check sag, but it feels pretty good.

400# for your weight? Thats good to know. I'm hoping to get an opportunity to meet the Transition guys and have them dial the bike in for me since I know where they hang.

After 3 rides, heavy climbing on all, the Roco makes more and more sense. I'm just too impatient to wait. We'll see how the DHX turns out.

I will note that even though the Swinger's almost impossible to work with, I've had little trouble hanging with even the toughest mountain goats on the trail. The Talas is definitely the cat's meow for the BR.

Well, I don't know about that. I don't think it's that easy, unless you went with the DHXa. The only thing I can get out of the limited info is the transition between adjustments is quicker and smoother.

PLANTED its heavy same weight as my old stinky, maybe a bit less, but with closer geometry to my 5spot which is my favourite bike to ride so basically its my bomb proof 5 spot that'll stop me breaking the turner

i have built it up to be a kinda DH/playbike rather than a trail bike but if i am feeling fit i can still pedal it around an XC ride with my buddies. But primarily its my "minibigbike" to be used for dh races and general titting around.

Here's the new build... It's my first solo full build, and I have to say it was a lot easier than I thought!

The steer tube and seat post need a bit trimmed, but it's totally rideable. I was a little bit worried about my gear range with the singe 26T up front, but it feels like it'll work out well.

All this white will take some getting used to.

    Med Bottlerocket
    Thomson seat post
    WTB Pure V saddle
    ROCO WC shock
    Azonic Outlaw wheelset
    Kenda Kineticks Stick-E 2.6 tires
    Deity handlebar/stem/cranks/bar ends
    ODI grips
E13 SST guide with 26T crownwheel
    Deore hydraulic discs
    SRAM cassette/X7 shifter/X7rear mech
    Syncros mental magnesium pedals
    07 Fox 36 talas RC

You had me super excited for just a second when I saw the Roco on there. Then I remembered you'd gotten a WC.

Nope, building was actually pretty easy. Worst part was pounding the cups in with that 3lb hammer and cedar 1x4. Felt like such a hack job!

Hey, sorry I missed out on Sunday....we'll be there tomorrow around 6pm tomorrow.

Looks like mid July will be my next weekend opportunity for Canada....then in Aug. all my Saturdays will be free like we talked about.

A little rest for the BR on the Ridge Climb, mr. merchant?

Unfortunately, I'm out for this weekend. Heading to Leavenworth instead for a bach. partay. After early-July, it's gonna be hard to keep me out of BC, but until then, I'm mostly local, plus a week n park city.

    Peace,
    EB

I'm sorry. If it makes your weather seem a little less crappy, we had a brief period of 1/2" diameter hail today.
