    Hi guys

Have a short question regarding the size of the Trans AM29er.
I'm 187 (6"1) and I want to ride the bike as hard as i can, more all mountain than XC.
I can see in the geometry that the ETT is a little short.

Anydody in here about same height and riding a Large frame?

At 183cm (6') I'm a bit shorter than you but I do ride a large TransAM 29. With a straight post and a 70mm stem it feels perfect for semi tech stuff I normally ride.

I'm also 183 cm and happily riding a large frame.

I am 187 cm and just built my XL TransAm 29er as a singlespeed. I put a 85mm stem on it. The large frame would be way too short for me.

Hello all! Just wanted to say this thread solidified my decision to settle on the Transam 29er as my upgrade so I figured I would share with you the cleanest picture it will ever take

Been riding my TransAM29 for a few months now and am really liking it. It took me some adjustment going from riding all FS bikes to riding a HT again, but now that I have "adapted" to the bike I can honestly say I typically do not miss rear suspension on most rides. I am lucky enough to still have a couple of FS 26ers in the garage, so they are there if I need them, but I just feel like I get a better fit on 29ers. I'm not necessarily "tall" (5'10) but am rather "leggy."

    esku,

I'm new to the boards but just wanted to say that you did an excellent job on the build. That's a great looking TA! I'm starting an XT build of my own and have a few questions about your components, can you PM me when you have a chance?

    Thanks,

    Marino

    Hi all, I bought a pair of Pacenti's DL31 29er rims for my TA29, http://forums.mtbr.com/wheels-tires/...ml#post9545672

As for the rear tire, I was thinking of getting Hans Dampf. with these kind of widths, would there be any issues with clearance. I'm be running single chainring for now, so no front derailleur. I want to put the fattest tire possible. Anyone care to share their rim and tire combo? TIA.

That is a nice build TransAM 29 ^^^

Anyone interested in selling me a used (good condition), LARGE TransAM 29 frame?

I can't afford new, but I can afford used one. I can't find any anywhere.

PM if you plan to sell one in Large.

I'm in love with this bike. Quick question for guys about size. 5'6 - 5'7 - do you recommend a small or a medium? I'm thinking of running a 60/70MM stem and straight seat post.

That beauty is definitely out of my chart of "beautifulness". Seriously man, long time I don't see a convincing red bits build

Hey drop boy, I'm 6'3" and riding a large frame. My bike is set up SS with 65mm stem 810mm bars. Love the fit and short wheel base. Riding SS I'm never in the saddle so the large works well for throwing around. It's actually the exact same fit as my other bike a L (20) Kona Honzo with 45mm stem 785mm bars. The guys at Transition know how to make faun bike!

So as the original starter of this thread, I felt it appropriate to order aTransAM 29er. The frame is on its way, now I need to now how big a tire I can fit in the back, is a 2.4 Continental Mountain King too big?

Should be fine. I have a 2.4 Ardent in the back of mine with no problem, and from what I understand the Mtn King runs narrow.

I'm running my 1X9 so cannot comment if a front derailleur will be a problem but without one you will have tons of room to spare with a 2.4 Continental Mountain King.
