Rigid fork on a TransAm 29er

    Hi guys

Anyone running a rigid on their TransAm? I see the frame wants a 120 fork, meaning I'd think suspension corrected (25% sag) would be somewhere around 485...(120mm f29 is about 520 axle to crown, 120mm travel, 25% of which is 35, 520 - 35 = 485! Whew!)

Longest carbon I've found is the syncros at 480, and I know there are probably some old steel niner forks kicking around at the 490 length. I would surely rather go carbon though, if that's an option.

    Thoughts?

    Voodoo Zombie 500. Cheap and good its around 1.5kg i think? It's a 500mm A2C chromoly fork.

3.3 lbs isn't that light... I'm really surprised no one is making a carbon one. so the consensus is that 480 will be too low?

as a follow up to this -

syncros has a much shorter offset than most forks - 38. that should bring the head tube up, correct?

so a 480 with a shorter offset i would THINK would be close to a suspension corrected 45 rake 120mm fork....
