    Patrol sizing

I'm thinking about switching from a medium banshee spitfire to the patrol. On my test ride, in order to get proper leg extension on a medium patrol, I had to raise the dropper post about an inch past the minimum insertion mark. Has anyone else had this problem? Riding a large felt ok, but the handlebars were too high. I'm 5'9", so I'm pretty sure the medium frame is the correct size. I can't be the only long legged person of average height that wants one of these. Would a longer dropper post be the solution? I think the demo bike only had a 125mm post.

Size up with patrols, despite having a good reach they ride shorter than most bikes

Haha. I'm a size down from recommended and couldn't be happier.

But yeah a longer dropper post would help.

Great question, I am curious about this as well. I am considering the Patrol as a replacement for my well-worn '06 Kona Coiler Deluxe. I'm 6'2", I have an 18" KCD that is almost perfect for me if only a bit on the small side. Wondering if I need the L or XL Patrol based on the Transition size charts.

I'd be inclined to go XL, because I prefer a little more length. Only way to really be sure is to ride both. With 200mm droppers on the market getting the right extension shouldn't be too much trouble, so long as the frame has room for it?

Great, thank you! Luckily I can rent the Oatrol at Highland, so I should get a chance to throw a leg over one this fall.
