    misaligned lower shock mounts

    Hello!

Owner of a Scout for more than a year.

The bike started squeaking so I decided to service the suspension bearings and pivots. All worked great but during assembling the frame I noticed that the rear shock mounts are milaligned a little - when the shock is fitted to the lower tube of the front triangle it does not fit the upper mount in the link - it is offset to the non-drive side by 1-2mm.
Not much though but the washer ring which sits on the shock upper bushing has noticable wear on both sides, it is even a bit thinner then the other one.

Is it a big deal? How does transition react to things like that.

The suspension works ok, I cannot feel any stiction or resistance but I am afraid there is additional bending stress on the shock and frame possibly.

I am aware that this as a common thing with bikes but still...

PS I can post some photos if needed.

Contact TBC or where you bought frame/bike from, that could be subject for warranty.
I had the same on a alu 2015 Patrol.
You will see some shock wear after some time.

Already made an inquiry - will see what the response is.

Shock wear and bending momentum is exactly what bothers me. Did not look inside the shock though...

    Great!
TBC will work that out fine, I think!

On my shock I noticed wear and also thin vertical scratches on the damper shaft.

Wow. Having some issues with quality control. That should have never left the plant.
