    I rode a carbon covert

Just sharing my initial impressions. I got a chance to get a leg over the carbon covert that was on demo at the Cold Creek Mtb shuttle day yesterday.

I only rode it a short time, maybe 10 minutes so clearly no in depth review. But I know what I like and how I want a bike to ride when it comes to myself.

Anyway, I pedaled around a little bit, some wheelies and then pedaled it up the trail some which was a technical rocky section and came back down the same section.

I honestly was blown away at how great the bike felt to me. It was the most solid and plush bike I have been on and was the very first time for me that I was immediately comfortable regarding a bikes handling. In short, if you somehow pulled out the ideal bike for me from my head I believe it would be this one.

So, I deeply liked it and even with a short time on it I have decided when they come available I'm going to get one.

Thanks for coming out to our event, I think it was success! I got a chance to make a run on Cold Creek with the Covert 29, it rocked. I have never been able to get on a demo bike and pretty much pin it, but this one was the exception. Transitions demo fleet was pretty awesome, if you weren't there you missed out!

I would agree the event was a success. My friends and I did thrillium five times and then rode cold creek from the very top. All of us enjoyed thrillium but really felt cold creek trail is a crown jewel.

The guys at Transition always do a great job. I was there at the Blackrock demo in July and they brought a huge demo fleet, seemed like their entire lineup.

    A day well spent!

It was like the bike knew just what you liked and in turn wants you to ride it has hard as you possibly can.

Not that I have heard specifically. I would expect to see it in the 5k ~ 6k range like most carbon bikes.

Talked to a dealer who said that it will be $2900 frame only and $6599 for the complete covert 1 with xt and easton haven stuff. Availibility is looking like spring.

$6599 would sound right for it.

If those are haven carbon rims, which it looks like, that's $2500 alone msrp on rims, so $6599 seems pretty sweet.

Sounds right where we could expect for this kind of bike.

I have my sights on the XT build.
