Nice to see the return of the white TransAM. Although this brown Covert is quite hideous. Transition needs more matte paint like the black TR450 and less of this gloss stuff.

So there is a covert29 in the place of where the b29 used to be (at 140mm)... So the b29 will drop to 120mm and a steeper HA?!

    Any pics of those?

i'v found this page on the german distributers website... NS Bikes Bikes Season 2011 it mentions different setups of the b29 and c29...

That brown is terrible. The matte colours are always better. It would be cool to see a raw Covert though

i get the brown w/sky blue thing they're going for. It has that old skool SE PK Ripper action but it's not quite there for me. Maybe leave out the random stripes and a different brown? no gloss. I guess i'm gettin old but I still like the straight lines of my old Covert more. I bet the ride is dialled as always.

Yeah, I'd like to see what happens with the Bandit 29 as well as keeping it at 130mm seems to make to too close the the covert 29.

In this thread Brand new model... Bandit 29 transition mentioned that there would be "3 different 29er's in the lineup this year" so I'm really interested in what else is yet to be unveiled.

Maybe they are just referring to three total 29" frames - TransAm, Bandit, and now Covert.

I actually really like the brown (not sure on the blue bits and decals though). I would really like to see some pics of all the TR bikes at the booth.

Unless I'm missing something, I believe that would be the Trans Am, Bandit and Covert.

Yeah, you guys are probably right. Still, I'm interested to see what changes were made to the Bandit.

Is anyone else having trouble getting onto the Transition website? I keep getting a "HTTP Error 503" message.

Hopefully they are updating it with all the new Eurobike stuff.

New paint. This is the only pic I could find. Waiting to see the other options cause it's going to be my new DH frame for next year.

I concur. And that dual color TR250 isn't all that great either. These frames look best in single bright ass colors. Or matte.

i'm liking the idea of 120mm b29 and then get the carbon covert as well. nice light xc/trail bike and then an enduro bike. Now where did i bury that money?

From the pics on one of the links above , it looks as though the B29 has a longer top tube too.

    noob question...
Can someone explain the differences between the Bandit29 and Covert29?

I'm leaning towards the Bandit right now because I think I'm mostly interested in XC riding, but also want something that will be fun downhill and allow me room to grow in that area. The Covert29 doesn't seem that different, but I'm sure I'm missing something. Thanks.

wo don't have any details right now and it was a little bit surprising that TB comes with a Covert 29.
What i think: the Covert 29 will have a slacker geometry, a stiffer frame, a little bit more travel.
The build kits will be more on the Enduro-side. So this Bike will be the the most shredable 29er on the market.
The Bandit is more the trailbike.
    So choose what better fits.

Oh great. I was almost completely decided on the B29, and now they go off and release a Covert 29. That's an almost impossible decision to make.

Damn..I really dislike the colors of the new Covert It's been my dream bike for almost a year now and I always wished they had a little more colors in the lineup, but now I kinda miss the black from the 2012 model.

Ow well...the silver version it is.

Yeah..when I saw it as a showcase bike at eurobike, I was surprised that they had a Covert with that hideous color representing the new alu frame. I hoped they would have better colors, but no luck

    Thanks for posting this.

The Covert29 has thrown a small monkey wrench in my plans to get a Bandit29...but at the end of they day I think the Bandit is going to be/should be my weapon of choice. I'm anxious to see photos of the stealth black frame built up.

Yoyoz/anyone?...do you have access to the Bandit29 prices?

It already has a 44mm headtube from 2012, both the 26er and 29er.

The 142x12/135x10 was also upgraded last year.

I'm curious how much weight the frame lost now since they said it's lighter in the pdfs.

Yeah, I'm quite conflicted. The new b29 might be a little less of a bike than I wanted and the c29 might be a little much. Maybe the 2012 b29 is the way to go if I can find one.

Living in the prairies of Canada there isn't much up or down to contend with, but having something to eat up the rocks and roots would be nice. Especially when hitting the urban obstacles like stairs and drops on the way to the trail.

Massive change in lineup for this year!

I'd love to see the real life colors. Matte white must be sexy, also orange and yellow must look good.

When do we see pics of real life colors TBC??? This thread needs some more bike porn.

Yep pretty interesting to see the Blindside and Bottlerocket both off the 2013 lineup in favour for more newschool frames. Perhaps they are going to the drawing board for 2014 on those models.

    I wish the bigwheeled Covert was a 650b instead of a 29er.
