    Downtube protection

What do you guys recommend for downtube protection? On my old bike I found that the front tire would throw rocks toward the bottom bracket, and I ended up with several dents as a result. I'd like to use a rubber/plastic guard similar to what many of the carbon AM bikes come with. Bike is a Bandit 29.

Please let me know if you have any ideas, thanks!

I've seen a lot of people zip tie some old tyre to the downtube, or even some innertube.

I ride in rocky areas occasionally and just use a layer of thick bike tape, the tape has a good few nicks in from rocks but the frame itself is fine.
