    Double has play

Hey double riders. I've had my double just a few months and ride it sparingly but noticed a play has developed somewhere in the rear, either the links (which I've checked and they are tight) or it's the shock (RP2). It's noticeable when i pick the bike up by the seat or rear wheel or the seatpost or by the rear triangle. Has anyone experienced this and know a way to troubleshoot what this is?

    Thanks much.

If you checked all your pivot points i am going to guess it's your shock mounting hardware? The aluminum spacers and shock bushings are a wear item, they might be tired.

I had the same problem. It's the mount bolt on the rocker. Transition says you have to really tighten it. I rounded a couple bolts, and then applied a generous cote of blue loctite. Problem solved. Tr said the little dot of loctite on the bolt isn't enough in some cases.

rocker bolt 90% of the time, since it doesnt sound like it has been ridden enough for the mounting hardware to be worn...crank it down and you should be golden.

Another in agreement - my BR does the same thing, gotta crank that 6mm shock bolt down super tight.
